Description
Air extraction from a ventilation duct on the roof
The roof fan is intended for mechanical air extraction from a ventilation duct. It is installed on top of the duct on the roof and extracts stale air from the building.

Operation and installation
The fan operates at one speed and has no built-in switch. It is switched on and off with an external switch in the electrical installation. According to the manufacturer’s instructions, an external speed controller (not included) can also be installed.
Installation is vertical, with the cap on top. The square mounting base with four fixing holes is firmly attached to the flat top of the ventilation duct or upstand on the roof, and the round connection spigot is inserted into the duct. The joint between the duct and the fan must be sealed to prevent water ingress. The electrical connection requires an additional cable for outdoor use, as the connection cable is not included. The installation must include an all-pole switch with a contact gap of at least 3 mm, and the connection should be carried out by a qualified electrician.

Maintenance
