OneLife X air purifier with washable ZeroOzone filter
The OneLife X air purifier is a freestanding desktop or floor-standing unit for one room, intended for a living room, bedroom or office up to 30 m2. With its bamboo frame, textile front cover and smart sensors, it works as part of the room furnishing, not as a hidden household appliance.
Its strongest advantage is the washable main filter unit: according to the manufacturer, with regular and careful cleaning it can last for the entire service life of the unit, so you do not buy a consumable main filter.
Description
An air purifier you do not hide in a corner
OneLife X combines bamboo design and recycled materials, air quality sensors and a washable filter unit for everyday use in one room.
Why OneLife X stands out in a living space
- Designed for the room
The housing combines a bamboo frame, recycled plastic and a textile front cover. Bamboo is a natural material, so the colour and wood grain may differ from the photograph. - Two Red Dot awards
In the official red-dot.org register, OneLife X has two separate Red Dot Award: Product Design 2022 awards in the Air Purifier category, one with the additional Innovative Product distinction. In the design, the jury highlighted the reusable filter unit, recycled and sustainable materials and timeless design. - Sensors work automatically
The unit measures PM10, PM2,5 and PM1 particles, volatile organic compounds, humidity, temperature and light. In automatic mode it adjusts operation according to the sensor, while air quality is shown with a coloured LED light. - Washable main unit
The main filter unit is not a conventional consumable filter that you would regularly buy again. It is rinsed under running water or washed in a dishwasher, then it must dry for at least 24 hours. - Low consumption
According to the manufacturer's specification, consumption is 4-7 W in automatic mode and 9 W in Boost mode. This is less than the consumption of an ordinary LED bulb. - Adjustable airflow
The module tilts in steps of 0 / 22.5 / 45 / 67.5 / 90 degrees, so you can direct the airflow according to the layout. The unit can stand upright or lie on its side.
What is in the air you breathe at home every day
Indoors, particles from outdoor air, cooking, textiles, pets, new materials and everyday movement around the room mix together. Some of these pollutants are particles that the electrostatic collector can charge and capture, while others are gases that require an activated carbon filter. It is therefore important to distinguish between particle removal and additional filtration of odours and volatile organic compounds.
Pollen, House dust, PM2,5, Smoke particles, Mould spores, Pet hair, Odours, VOC.
Proof in numbers: particle size and IUTA measurement
- OneLife X filtration limit: 0.01 µm
- viruses: 0.1-0.5 µm
- classic HEPA filter limit: 0.3 µm
- bacteria: 1-3 µm
- fine dust PM2,5: up to 2.5 µm
- red blood cell: 6-8 µm
- pollen and house dust: up to 10 µm
The scale shows the wide size range of airborne particles; the manufacturer states 99.99 % particle removal and filtration down to 0.01 µm, which is the manufacturer's statement and not a comparison with HEPA classes. The independent laboratory IUTA separately measured a CADR of 121 m3/h for particles using the GB/T 18801-2015 method, so the size information complements the measurement of actual clean air delivery.
Cost after purchase: no consumable main filter
With OneLife X, the main filter unit is not a regular consumable part. According to the manufacturer, with regular and careful cleaning it can last for the entire service life of the unit.
- The main filter unit is rinsed under running water or washed in a dishwasher up to 85 degrees C.
- After washing, the filter unit must dry for at least 24 hours before you put it back into the unit.
- Consumption is 4-7 W in automatic mode and 9 W in Boost mode, reducing the cost of everyday operation.
- A red LED light tells you when it is time to clean, so maintenance is not based on guesswork.
The activated carbon filter is the only consumable part. It is not supplied with the unit and is replaced approximately every 6 months depending on duration of use.
How the ZeroOzone electrostatic filter works
OneLife X uses an electrostatic plasma filter marketed by the manufacturer under the name ZeroOzone. Air enters at the bottom, the fan pulls it through the unit, and cleaned air exits at the top.
- 1. Pre-filter
The metal honeycomb mesh acts as a pre-filter. It is intended for first contact with the air and for retaining larger particles before the main filtration stage. - 2. Electrostatic collector
The ionisation electrode creates ions that charge particles in the air. The charged particles then permanently adhere to the collector plates, which the manufacturer describes as magnets. - 3. Activated carbon as needed
An activated carbon filter can be purchased separately for odours and volatile organic compounds. The manufacturer explains that formaldehyde and similar substances are gases, so the electrostatic collector cannot charge and capture them in the same way as particles.
Design comparison: consumable filter or washable collector
The comparison below does not compare brands, but two different air purifier designs. With OneLife X, the key difference is the washable main filter unit and low air resistance.
- Main filter
Classic purifier with consumable filter: The consumable filter is replaced according to the manufacturer's instructions for the individual unit.
OneLife X: The main filter unit is washable and is not a regular consumable part. - Maintenance cost
Classic purifier with consumable filter: Replacement main filters must be factored in when choosing.
OneLife X: With regular and careful cleaning, the main unit can, according to the manufacturer, last for the entire service life of the unit. - Air resistance
Classic purifier with consumable filter: A dense filtration membrane creates resistance, so the fan has to overcome a pressure drop.
OneLife X: Because there is no dense filtration membrane, the manufacturer states quiet operation and low consumption. - Consumption
Classic purifier with consumable filter: It depends on the model, fan speed and air resistance.
OneLife X: 4-7 W in automatic mode and 9 W in Boost mode. - Appearance and placement
Classic purifier with consumable filter: Materials, size and placement depend on the individual unit.
OneLife X: Bamboo frame, recycled plastic, textile cover, upright placement or lying on its side.
Where to place it and what room size to choose
OneLife X is an air purifier for one room. Position it so that it has free air intake at the bottom and unobstructed exhaust at the top; it is not intended to be enclosed in a cupboard or squeezed into a corner without airflow.
The manufacturer recommends use up to 30 m2, while independent tests show that the unit works best in rooms up to 25 m2. In an 18 m2 room, an 89 % improvement in the air quality index was measured in 60 minutes, and in a 30 m2 room 76 %, so for larger rooms it makes sense to allow for less reserve.
For everyday use you select automatic mode, for very quiet operation night or quiet mode, and for a rapid increase in flow Boost. The module can be tilted to 0 / 22.5 / 45 / 67.5 / 90 degrees, and the unit can stand upright or lie on its side.
Maintenance without complicated procedures
Maintenance is designed around the washable main filter unit. It is important to always dry it completely after washing before using the unit again.
- Clean the main filter unit approximately every 3 months, or when the red LED light alerts you to do so.
- Rinse the filter unit under running water or wash it in a dishwasher up to 85 degrees C.
- After washing, let the filter unit dry for at least 24 hours before putting it back into the unit.
- Clean the pre-filter approximately every 6 months; an independent tester recommends cleaning the pre-filter more often.
- If you use an activated carbon filter, replace it approximately every 6 months, depending on duration of use.
The transport lock must be removed before first start-up. If it remains in the unit, it can block the airflow and damage the motor.

Frequently asked questions
What room size is OneLife X suitable for?
The manufacturer recommends OneLife X for rooms up to 30 m2. Independent tests show that the unit works best in rooms up to 25 m2: in an 18 m2 room, an 89 % improvement in the air quality index was measured in 60 minutes, and in a 30 m2 room 76 %. For 30 m2 it is therefore still within the manufacturer's recommendation, but with less reserve than in a smaller room.
Who is OneLife X not the right choice for?
It is not the right choice for large open spaces above 30 m2, where you would need a higher flow rate or several units. It is also not the right choice if you are looking for the cheapest unit on the market or if you specifically want a certified HEPA air purifier. OneLife X uses electrostatic filtration and a washable main filter unit, not a HEPA filter.
Is OneLife X the best air purifier for me?
If you want a unit for one living space and value design, low consumption and a washable main filter unit, OneLife X is a very sensible choice. However, if your main criterion is the lowest initial price or an exclusively HEPA design, the product is probably not the most suitable. When choosing, the more useful question is whether it matches the room size and your way of using it, rather than looking for one universal answer.
Is OneLife X a HEPA filter?
No. OneLife X is not a HEPA filter and we do not compare it with HEPA classes. The manufacturer states 99.99 % particle removal and filtration down to 0.01 µm, using the ZeroOzone electrostatic plasma filter with a washable collector.
Does the unit produce harmful ozone?
The independent laboratory IUTA measured (1.6 +/- 1.8) ppb, which is significantly below the 50 ppb limit under the UL 867 standard. After 60 minutes of continuous operation, the unit did not add ozone to the room. The correct wording is therefore that OneLife X does not produce harmful ozone.
How often do I have to clean the filter unit?
It is recommended to clean the main filter unit approximately every 3 months, or when the red LED light comes on. It is rinsed under running water or washed in a dishwasher up to 85 degrees C. After washing, it must dry for at least 24 hours before you put it back into the unit.
Is the activated carbon filter supplied with the unit?
No. The activated carbon filter is not included in the package with the unit and is purchased separately. It is intended for additional filtration of unpleasant odours and volatile organic compounds, for example kitchen odours, new furniture, textiles, cigarette smoke or pets.
A choice for a room where appearance matters too
Choose OneLife X if you want an air purifier with measurable data, low consumption and a main filter unit that is washed instead of regularly replaced. It is designed as a design object for one room, not as a classic plastic box. It is the most sensible choice for rooms up to 25 m2, with use up to 30 m2 according to the manufacturer's recommendation.
