Description
Self-adjusting chimney cowl for improved chimney draft
Chimney cowl with wind vane Ø250 is intended to protect the flue gas outlet from the influence of wind and to improve draft. It is made of acid-resistant stainless steel 1.4404 and is suitable for use at temperatures up to 650 °C.
Main advantages
- Self-adjusting operation: the wind vane always turns the cowl with its back to the wind, so the wind does not disturb the flue gas outlet.
- Less smoke backflow: the design of the cowl prevents the wind from pushing smoke back into the chimney.
- Improved draft: special recesses on the cowl create negative pressure and help more efficient removal of flue gases.
- Resistant material: acid-resistant stainless steel 1.4404 with a sheet thickness of 0.6 mm is suitable for more demanding chimney conditions.
- Two ball bearings: the cowl rotates on two maintenance-free ball bearings with balls in oil.
Use and installation
The cowl is suitable for ventilation chimneys and chimneys for firing with wood, pellets, sawdust, gas or heating oil. It is not suitable for chimneys in which pea coal is burned.
The connection diameter is 250 mm, the cowl width is 255 mm, and the total height is 595 mm. The cowl also works without the base. A version with a base is also available on the product page, including a square plate 350 mm with four holes and a ring with clamps.
